About the event
The Belize Scholastic Chess Open is a 5-round Swiss tournament open to all students under the age of 18 from Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary institutions across Belize.
The event will crown individual champions based on overall performance, while also recognizing the top schools through a team competition. Team standings will be determined by the combined scores of each school’s top four players.
This championship aims to promote competitive excellence, sportsmanship, and school pride while providing young players with valuable tournament experience at the national level.
