After defeating Nathaniel and being back tied first, Alfred lost a crucial game in round 9 to Charlton Roches giving Nathaniel the sole lead again with 5 rounds to go.

In one of the most stunning matchups of the day, 7-year-old Curtis Andrade had a completely winning position against Rank 5 Kenneth Perez. Unfortunately he lost on time but the game left an impact with spectators.

The final matchup between Alfred Awe and Nathaniel Reyes in Round 12 was a chaotic game with both players missing chances in key moments. When the dust settled, Alfred won on time in an even endgame.

In round 13 Kenneth would draw with Nathaniel giving Alfred the sole lead going into the final round. Also what was possibly the biggest upset of the tournament, Curtis Andrade won an impressive victory against Charlton Roches.

Going into the final round the stakes were high, A win by Alfred would secure first place while losing would mean Nathaniel secured the tournament. Kenneth needed a draw or win to get 3rd in the event.

Alfred would win Kenneth securing the tournament victory. His win also meant that the tournament rising star, Curtis Andrade, would win 3rd place in the event!
